Default Chart control?

Does the book have some coverage for the Chart control? I am not finding it in the index under "C". Although searching for another control, such as Datagridview, shows up under "D", as well as other Windows controls under their respective letter. This makes me believe that the Chart control is not in the book? Is the Chart control not a standard Windows control for VB.NET 2012?

Thank you,
Don

Hi Don,

Sorry but that control wasn't one of the core controls that came already visible in the Toolbox so I didn't cover it. There are tons of other controls you can add if you like and there just wasn't room to cover them all.

Since then it has pretty much disappeared from Visual Studio. I think it went the way of Crystal Reports with the Visual Studio team deciding it's not part of their mainline business.

You can get some basic information at:
I hope that helps.
