Default Pg. 41: Properties Window Blank

In the book on page 41 it shows the <body> properties in the Properties Window. I am not getting anything in the Properties Window, it is blank. I do not get any selections in the drop down for DOCUMENT either.

When I typed in leftmargin manually Intellisense recognized the word but still nothing in the Properties Window.

Am I missing a setting somewhere that is causing this to be blank?

I also nioticed a similar issue a couple of times - try to go to design view instead of source view and click on the control in question, then you should see the properties you are looking for.

While looking for an answer to this question I came across this in the VWD 2005 community.
It is actually for VS but it works for this too.

Another thing to check is

Tools/Options/HTML//Validation/Target

setting this to Internet Explorer allows you to set margins etc....
which is not available if you have it set to XHTML.....

Hope this helps.
