Default General Question About c++

Dear Member:
Can some one educate me what's the difference between c and c+.
Secondly I am learning c++,my objective to communicate with the computer hardware,does c++ have this facility to access the hardware devices.

Which is the apporpriate computer language for the hardware controll.
