Default Deploying Windows Applications

Hi again,

I am just thinking outloud.

When one writes a Windows form application that needs a database on a remote server, how does one write it ??

Do you have to know the name of the server and tables your going to use, or can you make the Windows Installer set these attributes in the application ???

Could I know the server name and then have a code that would check for the database and table and if not there create it ???

Please take some time to explain this to a newbie.....

Thanks,
ZiqXx

if u have dynamic Server Name or any Dynamic for ur Objescts u could use DynamicProperties.
For using dynamic server name u may save ur server name in .Config file & then use it to genrate ur ConnectionString.

HTH.

Always:),
