Default Driving me nuts!

<<The server failed to load application '/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT/IISHELP'. The error was 'No such interface supported>>

I get this when I try to use .ASP pages.

I am running IIS 5.1, ASP.NET v1.1.4322.

What I have found on the net is the IWAM_computer name User id is set up incorrectly by the IIS install. And that seems to be true: The user id is set up with "user cannot change password"... So I've corrected that problem, run the sync script, restarted IIS and.....exactly the same message.

Straight htm/l pages run JUST fine. I've not even started with asp.net.

<*sigh*>

Any ideas??????

:D

Okay, here is the scoop:
(1) All of these problems are related to IIS Security.

(a) I built a userid. Gave it "logon as batch job" local security
and 'Admin' privileges.

(b) In IIS, Right click on the default Web site and change protection level to "low". DO THE SAME on the IISHelp web site.

everything works, now.

if you need DETAILS about the above, write me at my email addr: [email protected]

Later.
