All Wrox.com Wrox e-books DRM-free in 3 formats: PDF, Mobi, ePub
We have been gradually making improvements to the Wrox.com ebook selection over the last 1-2 years. Today, we're announcing that all Wrox ebooks purchased at Wrox.com are now DRM-free AND available for download in the 3 major formats - PDF, Mobi, EPub.
So, when you complete a purchase of a "PDF" at Wrox.com, you'll instead be getting not just the PDF but also the Mobi file and an ePub in a zip with the PDF. (Please note, the Mobi format file has a .prc extension. It's one of several valid extensions for Mobi files.) With these 3 formats you get the benefit of being able to read the book you've purchased on almost any ebook device or platform you might own. You get the convenience of all 3 formats in case you prefer reading PDF on a PC and using Mobi or ePub on a portable device.
In doing this, I hope we are making things much clearer for you when you buy an ebook at Wrox.com. I've eliminated the previous lists of which ebooks at Wrox.com are in which formats - just know if you buy an ebook here, you now get all 3 formats. And of course, all Wrox ebooks here are price lower than their print versions as they have been for some time.
These 3-format DRM-free ebook purchases are now available at Wrox.com for about 200 of our books including almost every book published in the last 2-3 years and several dozen older books.
If you need an older "rare" Wrox ebook that isn't for sale on Wrox.com, O'Reilly's retail ebook site sells Wrox books new and old including some that we only have in PDF so are no longer selling at Wrox.com. Likewise, Amazon converted a handful of Wrox ebooks to Mobi format on their own and sells them in the Kindle store. While we don't have those files to sell you, if Kindle is your main need and we don't have the older Wrox book you need, check Amazon as well.
We hope you have a great experience with these 3-format ebooks. If you encounter any problems, we've got a great Wiley tech support group helping Wrox and able to get you missing files or anything else you might need.

I'm the Associate Publisher for Wrox. I work with all of our acquisitions staff who select the authors and topics for our books. Prior to this role, I was an acquisitions editor working mostly on ASP.NET, JavaScript, SharePoint, and a lot of other fun topics. I'm lucky to have worked with some of the best programmer authors in the business. My degrees are in Math (BA and MA) and Physics (BA) and in addition to this blog and my "day job" for Wrox, you'll find me helping as many readers as I can in the p2p.wrox.com forums.

That is awesome news guys! Do you also plan on providing updated ebooks to resolve errata issues like O'Reilly and others are doing?
