Problems uploading on dreamweaver CS3!!!!
Hi everyone, Im new to the forum as well as web/html/css programming. and I have LOTS of questions for you experts :). But ill ask them as i need to know them. ok here is my situation.
___ First of all i created a homepage design in photoshop for my new website... I have my site connected to dreamweaver and everything setup. But now when i try to upload my files up onto dreamweaver I am getting this DISTORTED web page with all these little white squares... I called a customer support about my problem and they told me that I had saved all of my files into my C: drive or something.. thats what my problem was they said. when i asked what i should do they told me that it was my responsibility to figure that out. so im really stuck because i don't know what on earth they mean. OH YEAH. and when you all reply please do it in "lowgrade terms" Im still new to this so i have a hard time understanding all of the "Web programming slang"
PLEASE reply me with what you think i need to do.
Thank you for your time everyone
Mitch

This may too "lowgrade" but it's the first thing I'd check if you're new to Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver has gotten "better" but it is still not really a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) program. The distortion in the webpage may not be "real" it may simply be Dreamweaver's pathetic attempt to show you what it thinks your webpage is. Check it in the browser first and see how it looks. NEVER trust the way Dreamweaver displays your page. Every five minutes or so check the page to see what your changes are really doing. If it looks weird in the browser, let us know exactly how the browser is displaying it and we can advise from there.
