Default File will not upload

I am having a brutal time with a particular file. I have a .com and a .de site, same site, files, just one in German and one in English. They use different servers.
The flash intro will not upload to the .de site. I get repeated error messages re "internal error". I try it with filezilla and the same thing, it loses the connection on the same file. Yet, when I go to my hosting site utilities, I can pull the file up with no issues and it is running fine on the site.
What would be the issue that the same file that successfully uploads on one server does not upload onto another server, but I can use the hosting site's utility manager to "pill" the file up??
I am at a complete loss here.
I am using Win7, Dreamweaver cs5.5. filezilla version 3.5.3.
