Default Excel 2000 vs Excel 2002 Macro Issue

I have Excel 2002 installed on my dev box. I update and make changes to an Excel macro and place the update out on a share. When I go to the share to run the macro....I get no errors.

My customer has Excel 2000 on her box. When she goes to the share and runs the macro, she gets the following error:

Run-time error '1004': Application-defined or object-defined error.

Can anyone tell me why? If my customer upgrades to Excel 2002, will this fix her problem?

No one can answer this because you have not shown the code or line it crashes on.

The proper method of writing code likely to be used in various Excel versions is to use the oldest.

MS is continually adapting existing existing functions and methods - usualy by putting additional arguments that the older version cannot understand. You may find that examination of the code on the crashed line just needs one of the arguments removed.
