In my application I need to play SWF file. But what if there is no flash player installed on target machine? Is it possible?

No. That's why having a link to Adobe's website is the most common link on the web today. You'll need to have a "Download Flash here" link that goes adobe.com's download page for the Flash player. Most people do have Flash enabled however. Otherwise YouTube would have gone out of business long ago. ;)
