Default Wrox Ebooks: Here's Where to Buy Them

In addition to Wrox ebooks available on Wiley.com, most Wrox ebooks are now also available on Wrox.com. Look in the Wrox All Books page for books with an ebook option.

Default I use e-books/hard to use actual books

I'm quadriplegic and it's much much easier for me to use the e-books. Now that I have found a place that just sells the e-books I have a question. It says the e-book doesn't come with the material on the CD. What is the material on the CD and will it be pointless to buy the e-book if I don't have that material?

I see the exercise files can be downloaded but is there other material I need that I can't download? Like a database?

Augie: Apologies for the slow reply on this. I saw your question over the holidays and meant to respond (you know how that goes).

If the book is a Wrox "24 Hour Trainer" no, the DVD content is not downloadable. It's video content, typically 4-8 hours of video, and not available for download. The other main catagory of books we have with CDs and DVDs that can't also be downloaded are some older books from the Visual Studio 2005 release that contained versions of Visual Studio on the CD from Microsoft. We don't have those for download although Microsoft may.

Almost every other Wrox book that contains a CD the CD content is also downloadable like a database or sample code. If you've got any questions about what's on the CD/DVD for a particular book and your questions aren't answered by the online description, feel free to ask those questions here and I promise we'll do better about faster answers.

Addie: I'm sorry I missed your question and a timely response. If you are still looking, let me know which ebooks in particular you are asking about and I'll tell you what's on each CD. In most cases, the CD materials are available for ebook customers and that old disclaimer doesn't apply but I can give you case by case answers.
