Default problem in accessing IIS.... ?

Hi guys

i have been trying to Access IIS from my local system using
http://localhost/

but when i use this url in ie addressbar it asking me the username and password.. but as far i know there is no any username and password for my system.

any idea would be highly appreciated

I have been struggling to get this done... please help me

have you tried accessing IIS from administrative tools in control panel?
