Hey everyone,

For those of you who have gmail, and use Internet Explorer 6...
Notice how you can attach a file simply by clicking on the "Attach a file" link? ... how on earth are they doing that?
The INPUT TYPE=SUBMIT requires that you press the "browse" button that it provides. You can't change the text, nor can you change it's CSS style.
On top of that, the HTML form won't submit if you manage to wiggle around it. If you didn't press the browse button, then it will refuse to submit properly. I don't know why.

Anyone have any suggestions? This one has me stumped.
Thanks :)
-Bradley.

Bump.... ;)

Take a look at this thread: http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4772

It starts with a few examples that no longer work. However, on page 2, Richard York links to a few pages on Quirksmode.org. The first one explains how to do this.

No sure if that's the technique used by GMail, but I guess it's the same or similar.

Cheers,

Imar
