I wanted to get the Direct reports from Active directory (ie I wanted to get those name who is reporting to a particular user)

any idea how to get it using .Net?

I know this is a late response, but I wanted to point you to a tool that might aid you in verifying your LDAP query results. MaxPowerSoft, http://maxpowersoft.com/products.php?i=1 produces Active Directory Reports and it can allow you to standardize your reporting based on how your company stores it's information within Active Directory. Not only does the tool support customizable reports, but it also includes a robust LDAP Browser where we have figured out how to accurately interpret the results.
