Default Oracle with c# .net

hi everybody,
i need to know what are the advantages and disadvantages to use oracle database for my c# asp.net web applications backend.
Still im using Sql for my back end and lot of my friend also used sql.
Can anyone explain to me why most of asp.net developers work with sql and why they dont select ORACLE for my back end.

THIS IS VERY USEFULL FOR ME.
thankyou all.
