Please cut and paste the your config file the RSEmailDPConfiguration portion, change the username, password and SMTP host. Then tell us exactly what error you see. Have you looked in the executionlog table in the ReportServer database?

SQL reporting services smtp authentication

RUN report server service as user which can send mail.
change fist option in RS config which can run form Start menu.

in config file just enter smtp server,port, type 2 (sending) and from.
But work only if RS and mail server in one domain.

SAMPLE for config:
<RSEmailDPConfiguration>
<SMTPServer>mail.soft4me.ru</SMTPServer>
<SMTPServerPort>25</SMTPServerPort>
<SMTPAccountName></SMTPAccountName>
<SMTPConnectionTimeout></SMTPConnectionTimeout>
<SMTPServerPickupDirectory></SMTPServerPickupDirectory>
<SMTPUseSSL></SMTPUseSSL>
<SendUsing>2</SendUsing>
<SMTPAuthenticate></SMTPAuthenticate>
<From>virusvx@soft4me.ru</From>
