Default java 1.5 certificate issues

I have java 1.5 set up to check certs, and if I attatch my cert to java then when it trys to load a graphic that uses java for the first time(any time any browser window is opened)it prompts for a password. is there a way to dissable this, even when the certificate is no longer linked to java it asks for the password.
