Python's commands: Help

Hi,
   I am a beginner in the programming arts and on top of that i just started (late as always).
I am only on the 2nd chapter of my "Beginning Python" book and i am having trouble!!!!

1.My Python shell-editor is not showing that i used the \n and \t commands, how can i fix this? (It might me the version i have, i am not sure, it used python card in the examples but i have python 2.5)

what i felt that you were chinese.but,i don't know how to do !that's a problme.

You thinking might be right. Change your version and try again.
