Default SharePoint 2007 Installation

Hi all,

I am at about my wit's end with SharePoint. I have installed, uninstalled, reinstalled SharePoint about 5 times and still cannot get the Central Administration page to even show up. I have uninstalled IIS, uninstalled .NET 3, repaired ASP.NET 2, deleted the databases that SharePoint makes on installation so there are fresh ones when I reinstall, deleted the AppPools and WebSites in IIS that SharePoint makes. All I get is unknown error. Checked the registry after I uninstall and find no entries in there. Also I have changed the call stack to true on the web.config file. The new error I get is just 404 not found. Yeah real descriptive I know. If anybody has any ideas I am right now willing to take any suggestions. A reload of the server perhaps? I have SP1 and SQL Server 05 on it. Is there anything else I need or should try? Please help.
