Installing MOSS 2007 On Stand-Alone Computer (Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop)
I own a Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop (OEM System) having the following configuration:
Genuine Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5750@2.00 GHz
3.0 GB RAM
160 GB HDD
256 KBPS Internet Connection
I want to install Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 in my laptop. I have 2 options:
1.Install Windows Server 2003 SP1 (make dual-boot with Vista Premium) and install MOSS 2007 on Windows Server 2003 SP1.
2.Install Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 SP1 and install MOSS 2007 on virtual PC.
Please suggest which of the above options would be best for me considering my laptop configuration, system performance, etc.
I would be using MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0 only for SharePoint Development purpose at my home.
