Default Problem in Import/Export

Hi All,

I am facing problem when I imports data from sql server 2000 to oracle 9i with the help of import/export wizard of sql server
since we are having an Image data type in sql table and blob data type oracle table.

Anybody have solution??

What's the problem? Are you getting any errors? Please post the errors and exactly what the problem is.

Hi,

Actually, I wanna Import data from sql server table to oracle table by using Import/export wizard.

I am facing unspecified error message.

becoz, In my sql table i have a column data type Image and in oracle table I have Blob data type against Image data type.

Sounds like you need to find out exactly what the data type is and match that data type. It seems that there could be some type of data type mismatch. As you know this is a Microsoft SQL forum so its looking like the people reading here don't really know the answer but logically it seems that the problem could be as I stated. Sorry I can't be of more help to you. Research the data type attributes for Oracle and SQL server.

The best advice I have is 'don't store images in the databases'. Too many headaches.
