You should be able to translate the C program on the page
http://www.experimentalmath.info/bbp-codes/
to VB.NET. Won't be too hard, I wouldn't think.

Nice find, I will endeavour, C# is definitely easier to understand than C++ but my understanding of both is limited as I've never written a program with either.

To give you a little insight into my computing history: I started writing table based websites in HTML at 11 and gradually started integrating basic Javascript into them, then started using CSS to style them, at around 14, at 16 I built my first PC and have just started learning VB.NET at college.

I tried, but I'm too much of a newb to understand what's going on!

Well, I think it would take me at least a couple of hours to translate that and get it working, and I just don't have the time right now. Besides, even after you get it done, you have to then wrap it in other code to produce the requisite number of hex digits and *then* convert the hex to decimal. Make that several hours, minimum.
