VSS Problems
Hi there folks.. It sure is nice that this is back.
I'm having a problem since applying the 2003 upgrade concerning Source Safe.
Every time I open my project, I receive the message:
"Refreshing the project failed. Unable to retrieve folder informaion from the server."
We have a server that stores all of the VSS information. We upgraded to the VSS 6.0d disk that came out (but I had the problem before I applied the upgrade as well -- I was hoping that the upgrade might fix the problem.).
I have created a new database on Source Safe and added the project there as well, and we are still receiving the same error.
Any assistance that can be given would be greatly appreciated.

Although I am not sure of the cause of this problem, nor of the repercussions of this solution, I have found that by deleting the c:\Documents and Settings\USER\VSWebCache folder, it gets rid of the problem.

Does anyone have another solution for this? I've deleted VSWebcache a gazillion times, and it keeps coming back (And thus, I keep getting the creepy "Refreshing the Project Failed...." error message.
Wonder if maybe it has something to do with XP Pro/SP2?
I just know that while there isn't really any harm done, getting that message every time I open my project is a pain in the arse....
