Default Progress Bar

I have created a webapplication using VS.NET 2003 [with VB.NET], which scans an excel sheet to import data to access data base. While doing so, I want to use an additional progress bar [apart from IE progress bar] so that user will get an idea of progress. Kindly give me suggestions.

Best Regards
