Default Reading data from files and writing it to database

Hello,
I am working on a apllication in which i need to take data from a .dat file and write to database and vice varsa.
Can any body guide me how to proceed

The System.IO namespace contains many classes for reading/writing from/to files. Combine those with the right byte array conversions and you can get your files in and out of the database.
