Default XML from a DB recordset (removal of <>)

I have extracted into an XML file a Recordset from an SQL DB but some garbage like <br><br> appears now and then in the text. I know that these are < or >, but I would like to filter them. Any ideas?!

Regards,
Theodore.

Are these characters coming as extra, other than the needed tags there? if so you can observe them and replace with empty string or anything else you want them to be replaced with.

How are you converting the recordset into XML? Are you using ASP or some other frontend tool?

Hi happygv,
The way I am converting the recordset into XML is by using vbs script:

Set rsTitles = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
rsTitles.Save szFile, 1 'adPersistXML

Do you know an efficient way to replace the "garbage" from the generated xml files?

Regards,
Theodore.

Hi friends
I thought you can use the replace function after the getting the result from recordset but the problem it only mentioned symbol are appearing or some other also because for such each and every such symbol you have to use the replace function.
