What confuses me is since the rectangle is located left and up to the paper, shouldn't rect.x and rect.y be negative?
If so, by minusing rect.x and rect.y, wouldn't the origin be moved right and downwards instead?
Oh, that sort of thing is really terrible, I agree, mistakes are so easy to make. Try it out for yourself, see how it works, if it doesn't change the minus signs, don't try to wrap your head around this, you'll get crazy!
