Default DTS Migration to SQL Server 20005

I am new to SSIS 2005 and have recently migrated some DTS packages into SSIS. After migrating the packages I see that there are many duplicate Connection Managers created that are pointing to the same Server and Database.

I was wondering if there is any processing advantage to limiting the number of connection managers in the migrated SSIS packages.

As an example, my OLE DB Source and My OLE DB Destinations that are pointing to the same Server and Database will use one Connection Manager as opposed to the two that were migrated from DTS.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
