Default Solved the problem, sort of...

After looking at the debugger statements and after playing with the query returning the data for the Flash Chart, I realized that if the query truly found no records then the appropriate error message was displayed. I edited the Null Return Value of the Pn_CUSTOMERS list of values to 99999 (a CUSTOMER_NAME_ID that will hopefully never exist) and the appropriate message is now being displayed when choosing the "wildcard" value from the Customer dropdown list.

Given the fact that the book assumes the error message worked appropriately without having to make other changes, I'm concerned that I had to figure this out and now I'm wondering if I screwed up somewhere along the line when doing the tutorials in Chapter 6 (or earlier!).
