Default The App_Data

In your 4.0 previous version of your ASP.NET book, you had us drag and drop a .mdf file inside Visual Studio 2010 in the App.data folder and we were able to run and access the database from that location. Are you saying that is not the case anymore with Visual Studio 2012? That we have to do a separate install of SQL Server Express 2012 that will not have any internal plumbing .mdf inside the App_Data folder of the Visual Studio 2012 like we did in 2010?
