You can have certain Finder windows look different from others. For example, when you double-click your hard disk, you might want the Finder window to show you all the contents on your Mac in column view. But maybe you want another folder’s Finder window to display its contents in icon view—with a picture of your cat as the backdrop.

There are plenty of things you can do to make your Finder windows more efficient or more entertaining—the choice is yours. Here are a few ways that you can modify a Finder window.
