access thread: Printing on a Half Size Paper

Message #1 by "Enzo" <enzaux@g...> on Sat, 1 Jun 2002 15:29:18 +0800
Hi! I have this Access program that prints on a half sheet paper. I have a problem doing this on win2k prof ed. because There
is no User Defined Settings on the Printer Settings unlike windows 98 there is this option so that I can set the page to half size
of a Letter Paper. And also I can't add the same printer twice unlike in windows 98 you can add the same printer twice. Any ideas
how to resolve my problem. I need this very badly since we print our receipts in half sheet paper. By the way I'm using Epson
dotmatrix printer.

Thanks,

Enzo

I have had a similar issue with Win 2000 and printers (not with Acces
though). The only solution I can suggest is to see if the printer
manufacturer has an updated driver for the printer and W2k that supports
the custom page setting.

A lot of the printer companies did not update drivers to W2k for some
older (and not so old) printers. HP did not on a printer that I bought in
1999 so you may not have any luck but this is the only way to solve the
problem. The printer has to recognize the page.

That's too sad to hear Amy :( I've been figuring this out for almost a month and still get no answers. I guess I'll just stick
with windows 98. :(

Thanks,

Enzo
