Not real sure what you are asking. Which Parent Window? Are you talking
about when Access is opening and the db has not yet opened? Or Are you
talking a splash screen of some sort?

Amy,
The first one you mentioned or Any object you open in your db, the dark gray background you can see.

That is beyond my scope of knowledge. As far as I know, you can't modify
that other than changing the color schemes of the windows display and this
would only change the color. Maybe someone else knows how to do it.

Sorry,

Amy

Amy,

Find a nice picture, copy it to the same directory as your database, rename
it to the same name as your database - keeping the original file extension.
When Access starts it will now use your picture instead of its grey key
picture.

If this is not what you are asking it is because there is some ambiguity in
your request. Most readers of this column know how to set the background
colour or use a background picture on any screen. If you don't know look up
help.

If you are refering to the database window where you can see a list of
tables, or queries, or forms, or etc. then that tough. Us big brave Access
developers have to put up with Bill's colours. But our database users should
not be able to see the database window.

David
