asp_components thread: Passing parameters to new window using window.open

Message #1 by ulateef@a... on Fri, 30 Mar 2001 16:34:50 +0500

Hi!

Friends I need your help. I want to pass parameters to a new window by

using javascript's window.open method. It successfully opens the new window

processess those parameters via ASP code. But the problem is that after

processing that new window asp file I want to send processed parameters

back to the original window (from where the window.open was called) and

then that window (original window) should reset and my ASP code will then

rexecute to process those parameters.

I'm not getting that how can i get back to the original window!!!!

You may also need to do

	document.opener...

Then from the opened page, you can have the ASP write out some javascript to

force the openER to either refresh, or you could pass in a new location

string with parameters from the openED window.
