used many <input type="file">.. Just name 'em?

I don't think its possible :(

You can try to create hidden <input type=file>
and then before submit form just fill values
into those fields.

I don't know if it will work its just an idea
but from what I played with that I could find other way to upload but <input
type=file>

Oleg.

I was wondering if there was a way to allow a user to browse and upload
multiple files simultaneously, to say a fileserver. I know this can be done
using multiple <input> tags of type="file", but can it be done so that the
user can browse and add several files to a textarea and then upload them at
once??

Thanks,
Eoin

Its not possible (Well as far as I know)

You cant "queue" files in an a textarea then assign these values to a file
type input on the fly using something like javascript, mainly due to
security. You can just imagine it;

<BODY onload="frm.filename.value='C:\Whatever.txt';frm.submit()">

This would upload a file from the users' pc without any interaction.

Multiple INPUTs is the only way

Hi
Sorry to jump in like this.
Just a thought.
If you have a form and submit it to itself every time the user selects a
 file
then you can keep the filenames as an array
and at the end you sent it to an upload.asp or a component.
is this impossible?

Don't think that worked. Thanks anyway.

By the way. I tried to use this applet file, which should have worked
but
didn't. Any ideas? Here is the code:

<body bgcolor=3D"#c0c0c0">
<strong>Select files for upload:</strong><br>
<applet code=3D"FileUpload.class" archive=3D"FileUpload.jar"
        codebase=3D"/AppletFile/classes" width=3D"420" height=3D"64"
        name=3D"FileUpload" mayscript>
<param name=3D"cabbase" value=3D"/AppletFile/classes/FileUpload.cab">
</applet>

<form action=3D"upload.asp"
 onsubmit=3D"return document.FileUpload.submit(document,this,true)">

  <strong>Comments:</strong><br>

  <input type=3D"submit" value=3D"Upload!">

</form>
