asp_components thread: Why my EXE is not working?

Message #1 by "suresh bhadra" <suresh_bhadra@r...> on 21 Jun 2002 11:05:37 -0000
I made an exe using visual basic 6.0 with windows XP operating
system. When I run the exe in windows 2000 server, Iam getting
runtime error and application is closing. Why it's happening?

If anybody have any idea, I appreciate.
Please help me out.

Thanks

Suresh Bhadra

I don't see what this has to do with ASP, but you need to create a set-up
for your EXE using the Package and Deployment Wizard (or whatever comes with
the version of VB you use). Run that set-up on the win2k box and the
required support files will be installed and your app should work.

Fine,
If I made a package of exe in wxp, Iam getting version prob. of
dependent dll's.
I tried in reverse, I mean
I made an exe in w2k. It's working fine in both w2k and wxp
(Version Compatibility).

Thanks
