I have a feeling, tho i've never done it, that SQL Server 2000 can be sent
multple records in XML format.

I'm sure there's load of articles on the net regarding this.

Subject: [asp_databases] Storing Multiple values into Database from an
ASP Page

Hi Friends

I've got one small problem..

From my ASP page i want to store multiple records in to SQLSERVER database.
Each Record has got 7 field values to be taken to database.

Now what i am doing is ,from client i have concatinated all values of
every record and have stored everything into one variable. And in ASP page
using split function first i will break into records and using another
split function i am splitting each record in to differnt field values. So
i am using 2 for loops for this. after getting values for i record i am
executing an insert stmt and am storing values into database. So the
insert stmt comes inside the For Loop. That means if i've got 10 records,
insert stmt has to be executed 10 times.

Dont u think it will effect the speed of processing????

Is it the right way to code?? I doubt.........

Is there any other way i can store multiple values without executing
insert stmt many times.

Please help me out

Thanx

Regards
