aspdotnet_website_programming thread: ASP.NET Impersonation

Message #1 by kquayeno@y... on Mon, 17 Jun 2002 14:37:52
Hi, I'm trying to use impersonation in ASP.NET application. When I try to
run the application I get the following error:

Parser Error Message: Could not create Windows user token from the
credentials specified in the config file. Error from the operating
system 'A required privilege is not held by the client. '

You don't give details of the account you are impersonating so this is a
guess.

Try impersonating a user with administrative privileges.

Assuming that works you can then set up a user with the exact privileges
you want. (Make sure that you have an account with appropriate
privileges on the live machine too!)
