beginning_php thread: anyone else getting spammed??

Message #1 by "Nikolai Devereaux" <yomama@u...> on Wed, 20 Feb 2002 09:23:34 -0800

Hey guys,

I've recieved almost 100 "failure notice" emails in the last 45 minutes from

MAILER-DAEMON@x... saying that my message couldn't be delivered to

info@m... becuase the message is looping infinitely.

If this is a previously subscribed user, is there any way someone at wrox

can unsubscribe this address from the lists?

It's getting pretty annoying.

I only got one. WROX does need to clean up the subscriber list from time to

time, IMO.

Yeah, I got one of those. Why anyone would pay to obtain a Niue domain and

then make such a hash of configuring their Mailer Daemon, I can't guess...

I'll have a hunt around in the headers and see if I can disable the guilty

party.

Oh, and...

...by the way, Nik....

BANG!!!

They could do with a total revamp. The entire site is slow as molasses!

  And I have DSL.

Hokay! The perp has been found (and shot): info@l...

Mr Info, if you're still getting this, you need to talk to your sys admins

about your mail cluster. In the mean times, I've set you to not get any mail

from us.
