beginning_php thread: Problemo

Message #1 by "James Andrew Macgregor" <Organised_Chaoz@h...> on Thu, 9 May 2002 15:18:00
Hi,
I'm having a problem where my .txt files aren't saving as .php.
I had this problem before and a guy told me to do something with the file
endings and it worked but I can't remember what it was.

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

Are you editing in Notepad?
If you are, make sure that when you are "Saving As..." you set Save as
type: to "All Files (*.*)"

Yes I am using notepad and I made sure to Save As

I'm sure it's something to do with the file endings... to add something to
the .php

I had the same problem when I was using notepad. And even though I used
"save as" sometimes I still forgot to change the file type to "all files".

I finally gave up on notepad and am using PHPEd. I'm much much happier for
it. For a list of PHP editors you can go to
