beginning_php thread: How do I know that I have received an e-mail on my web site address

I have a site say abcd.com

(1) I want to send an e-mail whenever i received an e-mail to this site 
(auto response)

(2) Send an auto reply to my regular e-mail account notifying me that 
some  e-0mail has been received !!

Please help !!

This sounds like a mail server/daemon question, not a PHP question.

Unless you're thinking of writing a mail server in PHP (not advised, 
even if possible).

This is something you need to do on the mailserver.
i can recomend you a server admin suite that has all that an lot more
