I think that you should use the POST method, not the GET one...
Hope it helps..

Assunto: [beginning_php] forms

I am running php-4.2.3, I am using this code:

The HTML:

<HTML>
<HEAD></HEAD>
<BODY>
<FORM METHOD=3DGET ACTION=3D"text.php">
Who is your favourite author?
<INPUT NAME=3D"Author" TYPE=3D"TEXT">
<BR>
<BR>
<INPUT TYPE=3DSUBMIT>
</FORM>
</BODY>
</HTML>

The PHP:

<HTML>
<HEAD></HEAD>
<BODY>
Your favorite author is:
<?php
echo $Author;
?>
</BODY>
</HTML>

Can anyone see why it would give me the error:

Notice: Undefined variable: Author in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\php\text.php on

line 6

Any help would be appreciated. thanx
