The idea of organizing all information as part of arrays is a powerful one and I'm indebted to Nik for
suggesting it. The idea let me finally solve the problem of how to get variables from the config file into every function in my
code. The answer was to have the config file be one big array, like this:

$config['password'] = "secretWord";
$config['dbName'] = "dataserver.thisDomain.com";
etc.

And then include the config file and then go

extract($config);

Now I'd like to rewrite my code so that all form inputs are arrays, as Nik demonstrated last month. Damn if that wouldn't make my
life a lot easier.
