crystal_reports thread: CR error: Physical Data not found!

Message #1 by "Trung Than Chieu Le" <chieutrung@h...> on Tue, 27 Nov 2001 12:31:13 +0700
Hi friends,

I'm using VB6 to build a database client/server application and CR8 to

create report. I used a local data (MS Access)to build CR at design time,

and at run-time I set CR DataSource as a recordset. I installed the package

into workstations, most of them were very good, but one has raised an error

when viewing report:

  Physical data not found!

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Chieu Trung

Hi Chieu Trung,

I believe that the problem is with the path of the database.

In your development the database may be in a path whichmay not be the same

as in each work station.

I handle the problem this way:

Step 1: I get the path of th database in to Database_With_Path

Step 2:Add the following code

CrestalReport1.DataFiles(0)=Database_With_Path

If you have more than 1 databases (Not tables) you may have to add

datafiles(1), datadiles(2) etc.

Good Luck

Preethi
