crystal_reports thread: prob?

i hav used a crystl32.ocx(crystal report control ) control in my vb 

application and the 

OS is Win2000 server,now the  prob is when i open the same applcaiton in 

my win98 i 

got error that  crystl32.ocx is not found.

wat should i do for that

Hi,



You have to install the CR Dev. in order for you to use it on Win 98. I

don't really understand your question. What do you mean it does not work on

win 98? Are you trying to install your executable on win 98? Or are you

running VB on win 98 with crstal Reports then running your VB and getting

the error message? Please let me know and I may be able to help you...

What you are using as a back end? (Oracle ,SQL Server,ACCESS)

Well I can thing of only one thing... Install DCOM on WIN98 and install the same MDAC package your
Crystal Report depends upon.

Install DCOM on WIN98 then install MDAC 2.5.



Take a look at crystl32.ocx dependencies. It needs some DLLs that are in part included with MDAC package.



A good idea is to search the web for "crystl32.ocx dependencies"
