crystal_reports thread: Re: ASP, XML, and Crystal Reports

I would like to know the difference between Crystal Reports Developer
edition and Crystal Reports Professional edition. I have developed some
reports using crystal reports Professional edition version 7.0 and
integrated it with ASP pages. When running these ASP pages on the Server
which has Crystal Reports Professional edition 8.0, object creation error
(Server.CreateObject failed) is shown. Is it because 8.0 professional
edition doesn't support web integration like 8.0 developer edition or 7.0
Professional edition? Does the 8.0 professional edition have ASP report
server engine? Please reply. A bit urgent.
Thanks.

Excerpt from Seagate Crystal Reports 8: The Complete Reference, "...
Crystal Reports 8 Standard Edition includes report design capabilities for
all PC-type databases (xBase, Paradox, MS Access, etc.), very limited
support for SQL reporting (OLE-DB and ODBC for Microsoft SQL Server only),
exports to a limited set of file formats, and includes no developer or web
server components. The Professional Edition supports all SQL database types,
includes web access servers, and supports all export formats, but no longer
includes developer features as it has in the past. The new Developer Edition
includes all Professional Edition features, as well as all developer tools
necessary to integrate reports with custom windows programs, as well as
integration with Active Server Pages on the Web."
