mail_protocols thread: SMTP ODBC Logging in IIS4

Message #1 by "Marios" <MariosCMichael@h...> on Mon, 8 Apr 2002 15:28:51
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I'm having with
a mail component I've written. The component is a CDONT's wrapper and is
used to send mass mails.
It's been working fine for months now - well since last week when it
decided to send the same email to the same people several times. Not quite
was I was hoping for.
As I mentioned, it's been working fine for several months now and so
I'm struggling to see where the bug has been introduced. One thing which I
think might be causing this problem is ODBC logging. I recently enabled
ODBC logging in IIS and have noticed that the mailserver has been slowly
degrading in performance. I've this morning checked the logs and have
noticed a 'quit' value for the OPERATION status for several emails. In the
past I've only noticed NDR's and Remote Delivery status' in the logs.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Could it be the size of my
logging table in SQLServer. Is the ODBC logging timing out or something??

Any response would be great.
