proasp_codeclinic thread: RE: Access MS Word document properties from an ASP page

Message #1 by "Vong, John" <jvong@b...> on Thu, 1 Mar 2001 07:45:21 -0800
I tried to update a Word document's Title, it did not change anything, but I
managed to update other built-in properities such as Subject, Keywords.

With oWDDoc
    .BuiltInDocumentProperties("Author") = "someone"
    .BuiltInDocumentProperties("Title") = "sometitle"
    .BuiltInDocumentProperties("Keywords") = "something"
end with

Any idea?

Thanks,

Chao Zhou

Subject: Access MS Word document properties from an ASP page

I would like to know if it is possible to access/retrieve MS Word document
properties from an ASP page? If so, how?

In other words, I'd like to retieve the Title, Subject, Author, Manager,
Company, Category, Keywords, Comments, Hyperlink Base, date modified, date
created information from a Word document properties.
