proasp_codeclinic thread: How do I create a link to returned recordset

Message #1 by NddyMyke@a... on Thu, 07 Jun 2001 05:37:41 EDT
I see you're using bookmarks - the bookmark will only jump to the top
of the
page if there is sufficient remaining page to fill the browser window.
Put
a whole load of <BR>s at the bottom of your page to get round this.

Subject: [proasp_codeclinic] How do I create a link to returned
recordset

I have created a table of link indexes A.......Z
In my do ......loop the recordset are ordered by companyname.

How do I create a link to the returned recordset when any of the
indexes
is clicked.Those companynames beginning with that particular index
should
be placed on top of the table.

Here is the code I have written

<td><a href=3D"#a"><font face=3D"Arial, Helvetica,
sans-serif">A</font></a>
<font face=3D"Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><a href=3D"#b">B</a>
<a href=3D"#c">C</a> <a href=3D"#d">D</a>
<a href=3D"#e">E</a> <a href=3D"#f">F</a>
<a href=3D"#g">G</a> <a href=3D"#h">H</a>
<a href=3D"#i">I</a> <a href=3D"#j">J</a>

<td width=3D"518" valign=3D"top" height=3D"4585"><a name=3D"a"></a><p
class=3D"bodytext"><font size=3D"3" face=3D"Arial, Helvetica,
sans-serif"
class=3D"bodytext" color=3D"#336666"><b><span class=3D"headline"><BR>

Its seems the A link(index) is giving the desired result whilst the
others
aren't

Please do help me.
