: hey, i probally should just go out and buy beginning asp
: and professional asp. but for now, i hope yall dont mind all my ??
: the question is, i guess really i just want a confirmation. if i have a
: page, with 3000 lines of code, how much will that degrade the performance
: my site. this is a back end admin site, so only one person will be
: it. will that be a big NO NO, ot just a little one
If I put a box measuring 2m x 2m x 2m in the trailer attached to my car, how
will that affect the performance of my car?
a) Depends on the car...is it a little 2-door 1.2 L engine hatchback, or a
huge diesel 4WD? Suppose it was a semi trailer...? It the car already
pulling a caravan? So degradation of your site depends on what your site is
currently doing, and what it is hosted on.
b) It also depends on what is in the box - it is a box full of bubblewrap?
Or a box full of concrete? So degredation depends on what this page is
That said, your processor should multitask - so it'll split it's time
between the threads that are allocated to IIS, so others should still be
able to access your site. Locking problems in your DB for example though
would be another matter...
